Tomato & Spinach Soup

Ava’s Tomato Jerky & Spinach Soup

Ingredients
33 Oz tomato sauce
1.5 Oz Ava’s Apples Garlic & Dill tomato jerky (save a few tomato rounds for toppers)
1 ½ Oz water
2 large garlic cloves finely chopped
.15 Oz Ava’s Apples dried spinach
1 ½ tbsp sugar
1 tbsp vegetable oil
½ chopped onions
½ chopped bell pepper
½ tsp salt
Pinch of red pepper flakes

Serve with toppers

• Ava’s dried spinach
• Butter Croutons

INSTRUCTIONS

• Start by adding vegetable oil to a pot on medium high heat, add onions, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Sautee for a few minutes.

• Bring your stove down to medium heat.

• Add tomato sauce and water to the pot stir in with onions, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Add garlic and dill tomatoes, sugar, salt, and bell peppers.

• Stir slowly and bring heat down to a medium low simmer for 35 minutes.

• Add spinach and let it simmer for 10 more minutes.

• Allow the tomato and spinach soup to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Enjoy with some butter croutons or try some of our suggested food toppers.

NOTES
For this recipe the dehydrated tomatoes do not have to be crushed, but use them to your liking, you can break them in half or use them whole in this recipe.


Tomato Kale Soup

INGREDIENTS
32 Oz vegetable broth
32 Oz water
1 cup frozen corn
1 garlic cloves finely chopped
½ cup King oyster mushrooms
½ cup elbow noodles
1.5 Oz Ava’s spicy tomato jerky (save a few tomato rounds for toppers)
.15 Oz Ava’s natural dried kale
. 4 Oz Ava’s dried onions
2 tsp salt
2 tsp dried basil (green or purple)

Serve with toppers
• Ava’s Apples spicy tomato jerky
• Ava’s dried kale
• Fresh basil
• Toasted bread

INSTRUCTIONS

• Start by getting a pot of water onto boil with a generous pinch of salt and add the pasta, leave to cook for around 8-10 mins

• Place vegetable broth and water in a pot. Bring to a boil.

• In a food processor crush the tomatoes and onions to desired size. Add them to the boiling pot along with dried kale. Add basil, garlic, and salt.

• Add frozen corn and oyster mushrooms.

• Allow your soup to boil on medium heat for 35 minutes on medium heat. The dried kale and tomatoes need time to rehydrate for the best flavors.

• Drain the pasta.

• After soup boils for 35 minutes add and stir in pasta, continue to boil for 5 minutes on medium low heat.

• Allow the soup to cool for a few minutes, Let’s Eat!

NOTES
Dehydrated fruit and vegetables should always have time to rehydrate, moisture is always key. Dried foods such as kale and tomatoes will absorb a lot of liquid while cooking.


Creamy Avocado Soup

Ava’s Creamy Avocado Soup

Avocado soup is a delicious no-cook soup recipe that takes less than 20 minutes to make. Its fresh summer flavors make it like sunshine in a bowl, refreshing and cozy. Serve it chilled, or warm it gently. This is an excellent martini cocktail appetizer.

INGREDIENTS
4 cups vegetable stock
1 .75oz Ava’s Apples spicy tomato jerky
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup cilantro
2 ripe avocados, skin and seeds removed
2 green onions, green part only
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika

• Optional toppings: Ava’s spicy tomato jerky, Ava’s dried kale, diced avocado, toasted pepitas, hot sauce or chili oil, croutons, cilantro

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place Ava’s spicy tomato jerky into blender and crush( save a few tomato round slices for optional toppings). Place the ingredients into your blender and blend on medium-high speed until smooth. Taste and add more salt, if wanted. If you’d like warm soup, pour it into a pot and heat it gently on medium heat. Do not let it boil.

This soup will keep well for 3-4 days in fridge.


Tomato Cheese Spread

It’s simple and delicious!

Ava’s Apples Tomato Cheese Spread

Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients
3 tbsp Cream Cheese
10 slices Ava’s “Sweet Thang” Dried Tomatoes

Instructions
1. In a food processor take 10 slices of dried tomatoes and crush them.

2. Scoop 3 tbsp of cream cheese into a bowl, pour crushed tomatoes over the cream cheese, mix them together with a spoon.

3. Ava’s tomato cheese spread is ready to eat… spread it over a bagel, crackers, pretzels, or anything desired.

Turmeric Cauliflower Saute

Turmeric Cauliflower Saute is great as a side dish. Prepare alongside baked chicken and fish, Indian or Asian dishes.

Ingredients
Ava’s Spicy Turmeric Seasoning Spice
12 oz frozen cauliflower
3 tbsp water
2 tbsp butter

Instructions:
Sauté cauliflower on medium heat until tender. Add 3 tbsp of water to prevent cauliflower sticking to the pan. Stir and move cauliflower while on heat to prevent burning or sticking to the pan.

Preheat oven on 400 °

When cauliflower is tender but not mushy add 2 tbsp of butter. When butter is fully melted into cauliflower sauté turn off the stove eye and remove the pan.

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Place cauliflower on a baking sheet, arrange them flat. Sprinkle cauliflower with Ava’s Spicy Turmeric Seasoning.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Broil 2 minutes for added texture.
